In this workshop you'll learn basic stitches, how to read a knitting pattern and more—all while starting a super cute sunburst potholder! Please note you will not be able to finish this project during the workshop timeframe. I will demonstrate all finishing techniques on a nearly finished pot holder and ensure you're equipped to finish your project at home! All materials will be provided including enough cotton yarn to finish your project (one potholder), double pointed knitting needles, tapestry needle and reference material (pattern + video tutorials) for the future. Please note the colors included in the workshop photos may not be the colors provided. In this workshop you'll learn how to:
- Read a knitting pattern
- Cast on a knitting project (long tail cast on + provisional cast on)
- Knit basic stitches (knit and purl stitches)
- Bind off and finish your potholder/future knitting projects
The workshop will take place on Sunday, November 10 from 10a–12p at Handzy Shop + Studio's Covington, KY shop in Mainstrasse!
